The Women Public Leadership Programme held its first training weekend from 9 to 11 December. On 10 December, Boglárka Ballester-Bólya dr., Ministerial Commissioner, answered to Lívia Pavelka, member of our Center, in a panel discussion.
The central question of the discussion was the debate between intergovernmentalism and federalism. In this context, we discussed the issues and policies where the Hungarian government will not give in to intergovernmentalism. Dr. Boglárka Ballester-Bólya briefly assessed the results of the Future of Europe initiative and also gave details of the Hungarian rotating presidency starting in the second half of 2024. In conclusion, the Ministerial Commissioner stressed that the Hungarian government believes in a Europe based on nations and is shaping its EU policy accordingly.
